Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how evnt.co collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you browse our website, create an account, book an event or activity, contact us, or otherwise use our related booking and ticketing services (the “Platform”). It also explains your privacy choices and rights.
The EVNT brand and Platform are operated by LYVE, a business of LYVE Inc., registered in Lebanon (“EVNT”, “LYVE”, “we”, “us” or “our”). For the processing described in this Policy, that entity is generally the data controller unless stated otherwise.
This Policy should be read with our Terms and Conditions and Cookie Policy. By using the Platform, you acknowledge this Policy. Where consent is legally required, we will ask for it separately.
1. Scope and our role
This Policy applies to visitors, account holders, Buyers, attendees whose details are entered by a Buyer, people who contact support, and Organizer representatives who interact with the Platform. It covers information collected through evnt.co and associated checkout, email, SMS, WhatsApp and customer-support interactions.
Organizers independently decide how they use information they collect directly at an Event or after receiving booking information necessary to deliver it. They may therefore be separate data controllers with their own privacy notices. EVNT is not responsible for an Organizer’s independent marketing or data practices, although we require appropriate handling of booking information.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
Identity and contact information, such as name, email address, mobile number, country, billing address and account login details.
Booking and attendee information, such as Event, Ticket type, quantity, booking reference, attendee name, age or age range, parent/guardian details, and preferences or requirements needed for attendance.
Transaction information, such as amount, currency, payment status, method, refunds and limited payment references. Full card numbers and card security codes are processed by payment providers and are not intended to be stored by EVNT.
Communications and support information, including emails, WhatsApp messages, calls, complaints, refund requests, survey responses and records needed to resolve an enquiry.
Marketing preferences, saved Events, categories, interests and communication choices.
Content you submit, such as reviews, comments, photographs or feedback.
Organizer/business information, including representative contact details, business identity, payout details, Event listings and compliance documentation, where relevant.
2.2 Information collected automatically
Device and technical information, including IP address, device type, browser, operating system, language, identifiers, time zone and approximate location derived from IP.
Usage information, including pages viewed, searches, clicks, referral source, session timing, cart activity, booking journey, errors and interactions with messages.
Cookie and similar-technology information as described in Section 7 and our Cookie Policy.
Fraud and security signals, such as failed login/payment attempts, risk indicators and activity associated with suspected misuse.
2.3 Information from others
We may receive information from a Buyer booking for another attendee; Organizers and venues; payment and wallet providers; fraud-prevention and identity-verification providers; analytics or advertising partners where permitted; social platforms when you choose to interact through them; and public or regulatory sources where necessary for verification or compliance.
3. Children’s and family information
The Platform is intended for adults aged 18 or over. Children must not create accounts, purchase Tickets or submit information directly. A parent, legal guardian or authorised adult may provide limited information about a child when reasonably necessary to book or deliver an Event.
Depending on the Event, this may include a child’s first name, age or age range, Ticket category, and accessibility, allergy, dietary or participation information. The adult providing it confirms that they are authorised to do so and should provide only what is necessary. Do not place detailed medical records or other unnecessary sensitive information in general notes or open text fields.
We use child-related information only for booking fulfilment, safety, support, legal compliance and other purposes described at collection. We do not knowingly use children’s information for behavioural advertising or create marketing profiles about children. Relevant information may be shared with the Organizer responsible for the Event.
If you believe a child has provided information directly without appropriate adult involvement, contact [privacy@evnt.co]. We will investigate and delete or restrict it where appropriate and legally permitted.
4. Why we use information
We may use personal information to:
operate the Platform, register and authenticate accounts, process bookings and deliver Tickets;
share necessary attendee details with the relevant Organizer and support admission, changes, cancellations and refunds;
process payments, reconcile transactions, prevent chargebacks and maintain financial records;
send confirmations, Tickets, reminders, safety notices and material Event updates by email, SMS, WhatsApp or another supplied channel;
provide customer service, investigate complaints and manage disputes;
personalise browsing, remember preferences and recommend relevant family activities or Events;
send marketing where allowed, manage consent and measure campaign performance;
analyse and improve performance, content, navigation and Event supply;
detect fraud, abuse, security incidents and violations of our Terms;
comply with tax, accounting, consumer-protection, payment, court, regulatory and other legal duties; and
establish, exercise or defend legal claims and protect users, children, Organizers, EVNT and the public.
5. Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following:
Contract: processing needed to create an account, complete a booking, issue a Ticket, provide support or administer an Organizer relationship.
Legal obligation: processing needed for financial records, lawful requests, consumer rights, sanctions or regulatory compliance.
Legitimate interests: operating and improving the Platform, securing accounts, preventing fraud, understanding performance, handling claims and communicating about similar services, balanced against your rights.
Consent: optional cookies, certain personalised advertising, precise location, or electronic marketing where consent is required. Consent can be withdrawn at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Vital interests or substantial public interest: only where necessary and legally permitted to protect someone’s safety or handle sensitive information in exceptional circumstances.
Where special-category or sensitive data is processed—such as limited health, allergy, disability or accessibility information—we use it only when necessary and with an additional lawful condition, such as explicit consent, vital interests or another basis permitted by law.
6. How we share information
6.1 Organizers and Event providers
We share booking and attendee information needed to operate the Event, such as Buyer contact details, attendee name/age category, Ticket details and relevant requirements. Organizers must not receive full payment-card details. An Organizer may contact you about operational Event matters. Its own marketing requires an independent lawful basis and any consent required by law.
6.2 Service providers
We may use vendors for website/application hosting, cloud storage, ticket delivery, communications, customer support, analytics, security, fraud prevention, identity verification, accounting and professional advice. They may process information only for authorised purposes and under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
6.3 Payments and wallets
Payments may be handled by providers such as Stripe for supported international card payments and Whish Money for Lebanon, depending on the live checkout options. These providers receive information necessary to process, verify, settle or refund a transaction and may act as independent controllers under their own privacy policies. [Confirm and list every live payment provider before publication.]
6.4 Advertising and analytics partners
With the choices and consent required by law, we may share online identifiers, device/activity information or hashed contact information with analytics and advertising platforms to measure use, reach relevant audiences and evaluate campaigns. We do not sell or rent personal information for money. Some laws may treat targeted-advertising disclosures as a “sale” or “sharing”; where applicable, we provide the required opt-out.
6.5 Legal, safety and corporate disclosures
We may disclose information to courts, regulators, law-enforcement or other competent parties where required or reasonably necessary to comply with law, prevent fraud, protect safety or rights, or address a claim. Information may also transfer during financing, restructuring, merger, acquisition or sale, subject to appropriate protections and notice where required.
We may use and share aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify an individual.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We and approved providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage and similar technologies. Categories may include:
Strictly necessary technologies for security, login, basket, checkout and core functions;
Functional technologies that remember language, location and preferences;
Analytics technologies that help us understand visits and improve performance; and
Advertising technologies that measure campaigns, limit repetition and personalise advertising where permitted.
Non-essential technologies should be activated only in accordance with applicable consent requirements. You can use our cookie banner or browser/device controls to change choices. Blocking some technologies may affect features. The separate Cookie Policy should identify the actual providers, cookie names, purposes and durations used by the live Platform.
8. Marketing and communications
We send operational messages necessary for a booking even if you opt out of marketing. Promotional messages are sent where you consented or another lawful basis permits. You may unsubscribe through the message, update account settings, or contact [privacy@evnt.co]. It may take a reasonable time to process the request, and we may retain a suppression record so we do not contact you again improperly.
An Organizer’s marketing is controlled by that Organizer unless EVNT clearly sends it. Contact the Organizer directly to stop its independent communications, and tell us if you believe booking information has been misused.
9. International transfers
EVNT is intended to support Lebanon and the UAE and may use providers located in other countries. Personal information may therefore be processed outside your country, where privacy laws may differ. Where required, we use recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions, approved contractual clauses, contractual/data-security commitments, consent or another lawful transfer mechanism. Contact us for information about applicable safeguards.
10. Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including to complete Events, support refunds and disputes, maintain financial/legal records, prevent fraud and meet regulatory requirements. Retention depends on the data and legal context. Our intended baseline schedule is:
Account data: while the account is active, then deleted or anonymised after [24 months] of inactivity unless a longer period is necessary.
Booking, transaction and invoice records: for [10 years or the period required by applicable tax/accounting law] after the transaction.
Support and complaint records: for [3 years] after closure, longer where a dispute or legal hold applies.
Marketing consent and suppression records: while marketing continues and for a reasonable compliance period after opt-out.
Security and fraud records: for the investigation and a reasonable period afterwards, potentially longer for confirmed fraud or legal claims.
Child/attendee operational details: until the Event and related support/refund period end, unless the Organizer or law requires longer; sensitive details should be minimised and deleted sooner where possible.
The bracketed periods must be verified against EVNT’s actual systems and UAE/Lebanese legal obligations before publication. When retention ends, information is deleted, anonymised or securely isolated until deletion is possible.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the nature and risk of the information, such as access controls, encryption in transit where supported, vendor review, backups, monitoring and staff confidentiality. No online system is completely secure. Keep login details confidential and tell [support@evnt.co] promptly about suspected account misuse.
If a personal-data breach occurs, we will investigate, mitigate harm and notify affected individuals and competent authorities where and within the time required by applicable law.
12. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:
access and obtain a copy of your personal information;
correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
request deletion, subject to lawful retention exceptions;
restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing;
receive certain information in a portable format;
withdraw consent at any time;
object to or request review of certain solely automated decisions with significant effects; and
complain to the competent data-protection or regulatory authority.
To exercise a right, email [privacy@evnt.co] with your name, contact details, request and relevant account/booking information. We may verify identity and authority before responding. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any lawful limitation. Authorised agents and parents/guardians may act where legally permitted and appropriately verified.
Residents of the UAE may have rights under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data and applicable implementing rules. Individuals in other locations retain mandatory local rights that apply to them.
13. Automated decisions and personalisation
We may use browsing, purchase and preference information to rank or recommend Events and to detect suspected fraud. Unless clearly disclosed otherwise, we do not intend to make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects. If this changes, we will provide required information, safeguards and review rights.
14. Third-party links and social platforms
The Platform may link to Organizer sites, maps, social media, messaging or other external services. Their privacy policies govern their independent collection. Review them before providing information. A link or integration does not mean EVNT controls that service.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect legal, operational, vendor or Platform changes. We will post the revised version and update the date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice where reasonably possible or legally required. We will request fresh consent where required.
16. Contact and complaints
